Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the degree of practice of academic leaders at Al-baha University for their role in the professional development of faculty members from their point of view.

The researcher used the descriptive approach and a questionnaire consisting of (53) items to collect data from the sample of the study after checked the validity and reliability.

The study sample consisted of (277).The results showed that the degree of practicing academic leadership at Al-baha University for their role in the professional development of the faculty members from their point of view was medium; with mean of ( 3.10 ) and no statistically significant differences at the level of (α 0.05) according to the academic level and experience, also the result showed a differences of statistical significance at the level of significance 0.05.05 due to the variables of gender in favor of males and variable of nationality for non-Saudis, and the variable of specialization of the college in favor of scientific colleges, and the variable of number of courses in favor of 5 courses and more.

The study recommends a number of recommendations, including the need to activate the academic leaders for its role in the professional development of the faculty member.
