The study aims to examine the influence of the religious factor within the Israeli political system emphasizing the most important areas in which it plays an influential role in the process of a peaceful settlement.

Also, it investigates the religious map of the religious forces in Israel, and how they influence the decision-making process particularly that concerns the path of peaceful settlement.

The main hypothesis is highlighted.

Firstly, the religious factor plays an influential role in the path of the peace settlement by imposing a great effect on the decision-making process.

Secondly, the greater the influence and the role of the religious factor in the decision-making process are, the more negative effects on the path of a peaceful settlement they have.

The system analysis and the decision-making methods are used in studying the role and position of religion in Israeli political life to highlight the role of religion in the decision-making process particularly that concerns the peaceful settlement.

The study emphasizes the influential role of religion in the decision-making process, and its negative impact on the process of peaceful settlement.

Such an impact can be obviously seen in the decisions of the Knesset and Israeli governments, programs and electoral trends, and the formation of government coalitions
