This study examines the Attitude of the Kennedy administration of the Portuguese-Indian conflict over the Portuguese colony of Goa in 1961 during an important period of the Cold War, ie, the intervention of the Soviet Union in Asia and Africa as well as in South America to confront the western camp, United States and its allies.
The United States had to follow a deliberate and prudent policy of avoiding independent states under Soviet control so it wanted to set up a balance between the policy of its ally in Goa and India's desire for it.
