The crisis of the presidential palaces which occurred during the period of (1997-1998) is considered as one of the important crises that affected the nature of the relationship between the special international inspection Committee (UNSCOM) of the Iraqi weapons of the mass destruction and the Iraqi government at the time, which refused to allow them to visit (the presidential palaces) , or cooperating with them as it is detrimental to the Iraqi leadership ,therefore this crisis revealed the role played by the members of the inspection team of spying for the United States of America and Israel
