Abstract EN

Throughout its long history, Egypt has always played a very active regional and Arab role.

The Egyptian presence has always been significant in a number of regional problems, notably the Arab-Israeli conflict.

However, this role has weakened in recent years due to the gradual decline of state powers and bad policies adopted following the January 25, 2011 revolution.

Many international and regional powers have contributed greatly to the exclusion from Egypt exploiting the state of general weakness and the challenges the country has faced.

With the coming to power of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi on June 8, 2014, Egypt is entering a new era in its modern history.

Significant steps have been taken to establish internal stability, redress the economic situation and modernize the armed forces.

These measures are aimed at strengthening the overall strength of the state and, therefore, enabling it to regain its place at the regional level and to play its full role.

In this article, we try to analyze this situation and show how Egypt was able to free itself, in some respects, from all the constraints imposed on it in recent decades.
