Abstract EN

The purpose of the study is to clarify the legal status of the juvenile, the measures applied in the juvenile criminal system, the protective measures against the problem of juvenile delinquency, and the degree of criminal danger as stated in the federal law.

The study also seeks to clarify the juvenile criminal system in the United Arab Emirates in accordance with international standards.

Criminal proceedings are a set of rules governing the activity carried out by public authorities regarding a committed offense with the aim of identifying the responsible person and imposing punishment or preventive measures.

The problem of juvenile delinquency is one of the most important and complex social problems facing the modern world.

There is a steady increase in the juvenile delinquency rate, which exceeds the percentage of population growth.

Therefore, the researcher discussed the legal provisions relating to the juvenile in terms of the criminal responsibility of the juvenile under the age of 18 years, the effectiveness of these rules, the extent to which the juvenile delinquent can be instructed and guided to stay away from crime.

The researcher also discussed the extent to which the juvenile is protected by taking into consideration his/her weak personality and the actions taken against him/her, so as to come up with a better solution and a fruitful rather than destructive punishment.

Because the UAE society with its technological development and globalization needs a well-polished generation that is allowed to face up the challenges of the age and the effects of globalization that often lead young people to deviation and delinquency.

This is precisely the focus of this study which is ended with a number of conclusions and recommendations.
