Formation of and joining political parties are among the most notable political practices in modern democracies, and are tools for reaching government leadership through the programs adopted by such parties.

State employees may exercise such right to reflect their desire to influence the State general policy.

Their right to join political parties may be useful in some countries and may be unrestricted in others.

Public employees may –just like any other citizen– exercise the political rights and freedoms secured by applicable legislations and laws.
