Metatext plays a key role in forming an implication to the arabic narratives reader, and regardless of the textual narrative that has the theme for the metatext on the book cover and image cover, and the author wants to have a specific purpose, and it Usually related to the country's customs and author culture.

The most problems appear to us in the translated narrations and the translator's mata choice in the target text.

Therefore, in this research, we use a descriptive-analytic approach to look at metatexts in Naguib Mahfouz narratives that are translated into Persian.

One of the results that we extracted in this study is that the translator subjected the metatext to change due to a difference in culture and in an attempt to obey the narratives in the target language.
