The article focuses mainly on the importance of the press archive in the history of the Algerian national movement, which consists of large collections of magazines and newspapers founded by the Algerian elite from the beginning of the 20th century until the outbreak of the revolution of November 1, 1954 as a means of defending the legitimate rights of the Algerian people.

Which includes a wide range of national and national issues that the national press has taken care of and defended.

It also revealed truthfully about the policies of colonial France and its settlement plans in Algeria and the national movement during this period, hi the field of re-reading and writing the history of the national movement in light of the lack of local national sources, so as not to leave the opportunity for the colonial school to tamper with the history of contemporary Algeria in general and the national movement in particular.
