Abstract EN

The economic and geostrategic importance of the Maghreb region pushed it to be an important arena in the US-EU geo-economical rivalry about energy and large trade markets.

nevertheless, energy and economic competition has several impacts on Maghreb's economic security.

this study suggest the importance of reactivation of the Maghreb construction, reinforcement of south-south integration and the diversification of economic partnerships as strategical choices, not only break the dependency relations and integrate itself in the global economy, but also to insure a negotiating power which let Maghreb countries to treat equally with foreign actors according to the principle of balance of power and construct a win-win partnership.
