Abstract EN

Apple, pear and quince are economically important fruit-tree crops in Syria.

Observations were made during summers of 1994 and 1995 to survey the insect pests associated with these crops.

Twelve pests, belonging to 10 families and three orders, were recorded on either apples or pears and seven pests belonging to seven families and three orders were recorded on quince.

Observations included the relative importance of these pests and the plant parts attacked by them.
