The allopathic effects of seven different plant residues on different \,veed plants were studied under field conditions, at abu-ghraib.

it was found that the residues of some plants had significant effects on the growth of the narrow-leaf\,veed plants.

u,hile others affected the broad-leaf plants.

some plant residues reduced plant grorvth similar to glyphosate.

and in the long mn, they were significantly better than glyphosate.

results indicated also that time of incorporation and rate of applications of the residues were important and had different significant effects on the rveed plants studied.
