Abstract EN

This study aims at introducing the castle of Al-Mashour which was built by Sultan Yaghmarsan Bin Zayyan in the middle of the 7th HD / 13th in the south of Tlemcen.

The architecture of al-Mashour witnessed a great development through the historical events that followed it, especially among the zeyanid period.

However, after the collapse of the Zayanid state, the castle lost its leading role, making it occupy by several occupants such as the Ottomans and the French.

This monument still attracts the attention and curiosity of those interested in archaeological heritage and tourists.
