Abstract EN

The aim of the study was to reveal the effect of employing national songs and poetry in teaching national and civic education on installing national values and motivating students.

To achieve the aim of the study, a semi- experimental design as a national values scale was developed.

Validity and reliability was obtained for the scale.

The instrument was administrated to a sample of (66) female students as the experimental group included (33) female students and the control group contained (33) female students.

The results of the study indicated statistically significant differences at (α=0.05) due to the teaching method on the national values scales posttest results, in favor of the experimental group.

The two researchers recommended the need for employing national songs as an introductory to teach national and civic education to make them acquire national values.
