The study aimed to reveal the effect of using the virtual reality on the achievement of mathematics of middle school students in Al-Baha region in Saudi Arabia.

The semi-experimental method was used and the research tool was an achievement test has applied on (60) female students in the middle second grade in AlBaha region, they were divided into two equal groups; an experimental group (30) students who studied by VR technique, and (30) female students studied by the traditional method.

By Using the SPSS program, the results of the study revealed a high level of achievement of the students of the experimental group who studied the virtual reality technique in the post-application of the achievement test in mathematics.

The experimental group in the achievement as a whole obtained an average of (38.10), and in the cognitive levels they obtained in remembering an average of (15.20) and in application (11.47), while the controlling group obtained in achievement as whole; the average of (26.17),for the memory (8.40),for the understanding (9.50) and for the application (8.27) and the study showed statistically significant differences at (0.000), which is statistically significant at a level below than (α) ≥ 0.01, for the benefit of the experimental group.

As that the magnitude of the effect by ²η ranged between 0.774 - 0.947 and this means that the effect of the virtual reality is significant in achievement as a whole among middle students.

In the light of the results, the researcher recommended the need to organize training courses for teachers to share awareness of the importance of applying the virtual reality technology in teaching mathematics in Al-Baha, Saudi Kingdom and Arab countries .
