Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to identify the extent of the journalists' knowledge and commitment to the legal and ethical rules in the Jordanian legislations governing the capture and dissemination of the image.

To achieve the objective of the study, the descriptive analytical method was adopted by designing a questionnaire distributed to a sample of 103 journalists.

The study reached several conclusions, the most important of which is the recognition and knowledge of Jordanian journalists that the right to the picture is a personal right and that there is a high level of compliance with the legal and ethical rules in the Jordanian legislation governing the capture and publication of the image by Jordanian journalists, Statistics on the extent to which journalists abide by the legal and ethical rules in the Jordanian legislations governing the collection and dissemination of images, depending on the gender, age and academic qualifications, and that there are differences in the extent of their commitment according to the membership variable.
