Abstract EN

This study followed the bilateral relations between the two countries, from the beginning of the October 1973 war, to the efforts of the administration of President Richard Nixon to the military disengagement on the Jordanian-Israeli front, until the end of the term of President Gerald Ford.

One of the most important result of the study is the neglect of the United States of America, to achieve the disengagement on the Jordanian-Israeli front, similar to the Egyptian and Syrian sides, particularly Jordan's response to international resolutions 242 and 338 because of Israel's refusal to withdrawal from the territories it occupied in the 1967 war.
