albedinis, the causal agent of Havoud disease, produced various phytotoxins of pcplidic nature in addition to fusaric acid.

This paper deals with the determination of optimal conditions for the secretion of toxins which have pcplidic nature, such as: agitation, culture media and extraction procedure Different extracts from the culture filtrate inhibited seedling clongulion and caused necrosis of detached leaves Furthermore, the susceptible cultivars of date palm to Bayoud disease were badly alTccled by these toxins.
