This research deals with a veiy important issue, namely, the extent to which the deposit is required to protect the l ights of the author.

The author has two categories of rights: literary l ights and financial rights.

The problem of this research is to explain the effects of non-filing.

And we have relied on the analytical descriptive approach to the legal rules under study, hi this research, we have reached a number of results, the most important of which is that the deposit is a legal obligation imposed upon the right holder on the work from which several copies are produced.

We have also recommended a number of recommendations, including: The need to expedite the conversion of the preliminary draft of the law of author and related Palestinian rights to a law by the competent authorities with.

To make appropriate amendments to it in accordance with the comparative legislation, with the need ro emphasize in the Palestinian Ministerial Resolution that the non-filing does not lead to the author deprived of literary and financial rights prescribed by law.
