Abstract EN

This study, related to the Islamic trend of the Kuwaiti constitutional system, revolves around a historical reality, the relevant consequences and the impacts resulted from it.

As to the historical reality, it is the deep-rooted Islamic character on the Kuwaiti community since the establishment of Kuwait to the day of independence, which reflected on the political system of the society during and beyond this period.

As to the consequence emanating from the foregoing reality, it lies in the clear Islamic trend of the current Kuwaiti constitution (1962).

One of the most significant aims of this study is to shed light on this trend through reviewing and analyzing a variety of the constimtional texts, which added undeniable, clearly apparent Islamic impact on the constitution, which also obliged the public authorities to work within its constraints.

As to the issue of the impacts, it is concerned with the marks made by the aforementioned consequence on the outline of the legislative policy in the State, or the ones it supposedly made.

It is five main implications that are viewed and discussed in details at the end of this study as being an outcome of the Islamic trend of the Kuwaiti constitutional system.
