Abstract EN

In the name Of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad.

Knowledge of abrogating and abrogated verses is essential for any exegete who explains the Word of Allah, exalted is He (the Qur'an).

It is know that some verses abrogated from recitation (whether their rulings were abrogated or remained) while some others were abrogated in ruling while they remained in recitation.

This research explores the first type (abrogation from recitation) which means: stopping reciting these verses upon a command from Allah, exalted is He.

This type has not been explored in full by any scholar, according to the best of my knowledge, although some scholars make rcfcrcncc to a few Vcrscs discussing abrogation in general.

Therefore, I have compiled What Imams A1—Bukhari and Muslim have narrated in this piece of research.

This paper IS divided into an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion.

In the Introduction, I state why I have chosen this topic, its methodology and outline.

In the first chapter, I introduce the definition of abrogation, evidence proving it and its types.

In Chapter TWO, I list, authenticate and rcfcrcncc the hadiths in Sahih and Sahih Muslim that State the verses abrogated from recitation.

I have found ten such verses in the two books: four are mentioned in both Of them, one in A1—Bukari only and five in Muslim only.

In the Conclusion, I state the research findings and recommendations.

Finally, praise be to Allah, Lord of all creatures, and peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad, his family and all his Companions.
