English Abstract

This study aimed to define the degree of Investing human resources in public and private Universities in the northern region of Jordan and it's relation to the quality of higher education from the perspective of educational leaders.

The population of the study consisted of the educational leaders (deans of colleges and department heads) where their number reaches 349 from 8 universities in the region.

The sample of the study is from (303 ) academics occupying administrative jobs, of whom (222) are males, and (81) are females, from the total study sample, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive, analytical, survey Quantitative approach was used, and the questionnaire was used as well as a tool to collect data.

After making sure of the Validity and reliability of the tool, the arithmetic averages and standard deviations were also used.

The results of the study showed that the arithmetic averages for all the fields came in a middle average degree, and that there is a positive relationship of statistical significance between the degree of human resources investment and the quality of higher education, and the presence of statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) due to the gender variable, and years of experience , The type of university, and collage variable in all fields, the differences came in favor of the experience category more than (10) years.

Additionally the differences came in favor of males in all fields, and also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of the function (α ≤ 0.05) due to the job variable in all areas, This study concluded that a set of recommendations, including: the need for awareness from Jordanian universities about the importance of good planning to ensure the human investments which guarantee the best selection of the human figures and raise the level of their efficiency and to increase the productive capacity which is reflected on the quality of higher education.
