قصه يوسف و زليخا هي من إحدى أجمل قصص القرآن الكريم.
و عموم المفسرين لديهم تفاسير متشابه حول هذا القصة، بما يعني أنهم يستندون إلى الشكل الظاهري للقصة و ينظرون إلى حب زليخا ليوسف كعشق غير مباح و شهوه، و نهايته فضيحة زليخا و خروج يوسف من هذه القضية مرفوع الرأس.
لكن الرومي مع تأكيده بأن المثنوي و المعنوي قد صنع على نهج القرآن، عبر مولوي الرومي هذه المرحلة الظاهرية من القصة و نظر إليها من الجانب الجمالي و العشق و تاثير الجمال على غليان العشق.
و طبعا هذا ليس ردا لظاهر القصة التي يجتمع عليها المفسرون.
وكما يلاحظ في أشعاره أنه إضافة على قبوله للشكل الظاهري للقصة، فأنه يتجاوزها و يصل إلى

Without any doutbt the story of Joseph and Zulikha is one of the most beautiful stories of the Qoran.
The interpretive axis of the commentators in this story is Zulikhas natural love for Joseph ultimately scum of Zulikha and the glory of Joseph.
But Rumi emphasized that the wrote the masnavi on the Qoran without ejecting the views of the public commentators but by passing these views according to is customary manner by putting this verses into practice the profound beauty of beauty talking about the flames of love and actually entering the category of art the passing of virtual love to true love
