Abstract AR
Abstract EN
In her T.
E.
Lawrence Poems, Gwedolyn MacEwen (1941-1987) searches for an ideal and spiritual world.
Therefore, she resorts to incarnate, in almost a mythical way, the very celebrated figure, T.
E.
Lawrence commonly known as Lawrence of Arabia.
Although Lawrence is the narrator throughout this collection of poems, his viewpoints come in line with MacEwen's thoughts and attitude towards man and life.
This study aims at showing how far MacEwen succeeds in embodying the ideal life she looks for in the Arabic desert through incarnating the character of Lawrence of Arabia.
