Abstract EN

The present research deals with predicting the topic of expansion and its justifications and hindrances and limitations for that expansion as well as the extent of providing the residential lands.

The study includes Basra with its borders comprising 51 districts.

The research is based on the size of population and the future increase of that population in an attempt to predict the residential lands till 2025 following the main design of Basra put forward from 2014-2035.

The study includes the city sketch, natural and human planning to expand, and the need for providing the settled lands as well as the prediction of the increase in population and residences in relation to the policy of future settlement in the city.
