The research of "Chinese policy towards Southeast Asia in the twenty-first century is a study of its economic and security dimensions" it's a great importance because of the region's position in the Chinese perception and the growing chinese regional internationally and regionally, which is one of the active countries in the international political system, In order to sustain the momentum of China's rise and strengthen its regional influence, China has strengthened its economic ties with the countries of the region, supplemented by a military and security arrangement through Chinese military exercises and naval bases in the South China Sea and in the Pacific and Indian oceans to secure its external trade routes However, China faces some constraints that limit its foreign policy, namely internal problems, the demands of separatist minorities, and economic disparities between cities.

The most important result is that Southeast Asia represents a geostrategic gateway to China towards the entire Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean.
