Abstract EN

The paper aims at investigating examples of experiences of Iraqi plastic artists, and Arabs, who have immigrated from their countries of origin to the Western receiving countries, and identifying the impact of this transition on the nature of the aesthetic results in terms of artistic identity and the stylistic change achieved in their works.

These aims will be achieved by studying examples of the artist's experiences according to their sensational structures and themes in the present moment, and by comparing these experiences and their technical options with the way they were in the country of origin.

The study excludes the assumptions of the dominant vision and the institutional discourse devoted to it, as being experiences of marginal concern, their expressive framework is confined to topics of war, loss, immigration, memory and concept of integration.

The paper also presents, through a comparative reading of a number of artists experiences as models for the study, the aesthetic interest in openness to contemporary artistic methods and themes and their implications and trends, which requires appreciation and recognition through these aspirations.
