Abstract EN

Islamic financial institutions always need to produce a variety of tools and financial products to manage their liquidity in a profitable way.

The study tackled the problem of risk management in Islamic banks in Sudan and the role of Islamic financial engineering in risk reduction.

The researcher used analytical descriptive methods to complete this study.

A questionnaire was constructed containing all the questions covering the subject of the study.

100 questionnaires were distributed to the target groups and the percentage of the retrieved was (80%) with (80) questionnaire of the total distributed questionnaires.

The results were then statistically analyzed using the statistics program SPSS.

The study reached a number of results, the most important of which were: (97.5%) of respondents said that Islamic financial engineering is not independent, but is in the traditional financial engineering orbit, and 93.8% of the participants agreed on the need for internal control mechanisms in banks to manage the liquidity risk.

(88.8%) of the participants to devise new financial instruments such as credit cards to avoid operating risks.

Based on these results, the study presented a set of recommendations, most important of which is to reformulate financing contracts in different ways to achieve a balance between legitimate objectives and the real conditions of banking and economic efficiency.
