Much has been said in the media about the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis but little in literature.

This conflict has been mostly depicted from the view point of the Israelis rather than the Palestinians.

A one-sided presentation of reality is known as a "false narrative ", a term coined by Melanie Anne Phillips (2013), a writer and creative writing teacher who recognizes the four elements of perceiving a "false narrative.

" Susan Abu lhawa (1970-), a Palestine novelist, is among the first writers to challenge the theory of false narratives related to her country.

Her first novel Mornings in Jenin (2010) represents that challenge.

It relates the stories of four generations of Abu lheja family from 1930s up to 2004.

The aim of this paper is to discuss the means by which Abu lhawa worked to get her aspiration of shattering false narratives related to Palestine through a narrative which apparently involves the personal history of a single family whereas, in fact, it has to do with the history of a whole nation as well.
