The current study aimed to explore the nature of the relationship between Psychological Flow and Life Satisfaction, and to explore the nature of the relationship between Academic Compatibility and Life Satisfaction, and in addition the possibility to predict the Academic Compatibility from Psychological Flow and from Life Satisfaction, and to reveal the differences in Psychological Flow and Life Satisfaction and Academic Compatibility based on the academic specialization (science/literature), as well as reveal the differences in Psychological Flow and Academic Compatibility based on Life Satisfaction (high/low).
The study sample composed of (270) female students of Educational Diploma at Jeddah University – Educational Faculty, whose average age is 22.2 years old, with a standard deviation of 0.96, in the second semester of academic year 1437-1438 H.
The scale of Psychological Flow (by Jackson & Herbert, 1999) was used on the sample, which was translated and rationed by the researcher.
Also, the scale of Multi-Dimensional Life Satisfaction (by Hubener, 2001) was used, which was translated and rationed by the researcher.
Moreover, the scale of Academic Compatibility (by Youngman, 1979) was used, which was translated and rationed (by Al-Darini, 1985).
The study concluded that there is a positive relationship between Psychological Flow and Life Satisfaction, and that there is a positive relationship between Psychological Flow and Academic Compatibility.
Also, it was concluded that Psychological Flow and Life Satisfaction contribute in predicting Academic Compatibility.
Also, there were differences among sample members of Science specialization and Literature specialization in favor of Science specialization, while there were no differences between them with regards to Psychological Flow and Life Satisfaction.
Finally, it was concluded that there were differences among sample members in Psychological Flow and Academic Compatibility towards students with higher Life Satisfaction.
