Rhetoricians carefully considered the differences between similar expressions and convergent wordings in Qur'an to highlight the distinguished Qur'anic construction (Nazm) and to elucidate similarity in expressions, and deduce the ulterior semantics and allusions.

Nazm inquiry consists of word choice, form, structure and word order within context.

Rhetorical elucidation tracks Qur'anic usage and analyses analogical and 'heard' usage of language while considering all signs within the contexts.

Qur'anic recitations are essential parts of Qur'anic usage, if neglected, this may lead to a deficient rhetorical elucidation, which does not complement the context, or may lead to inaccurate elucidation, which contradicts intended meaning of Qur'anic readings.

This study attempts to investigate this methodological defect in representative cases, which demonstrate inadequacy of the rhetorical analysis in isolation from the Qur'anic recitations.
