Abstract EN

In this paper we cite the results of the first part of the work which is related to responding of civic education Books to the requirements of citizenship as we start from the systemic analysis to identify those requirements in light of Algeria's specificities on one hand and the characteristics of learner target of the educational content on the other hand.

Also we used content analysis to determine how much and how to attend the requirements of the citizenship education.

We have reached that the content of civic education books focused on requirements of the development of belonging, loyalty, environmental awareness, awareness of Health, obeisance of the law and the spirit of democracy, it neglected the requirements of the development of respect for religions, non-racism and openness to other cultures, Else, the content Subject of analysis centered on the cognitive side of the learner’s personality at the expense of both emotions and skills, and extrapolate the results of the current study reveals a lack of awareness of the concept of Global citizenship on one hand, on the other hand reveals that the textbooks contents designed by logic of “the teaching by contents” which focuses on the knowledge rather than awareness.
