The issue of the portal is to seek to focus the user within the system The enterprise portal is the gateway to the data system This article's main objective is to develop a comprehensive and balanced overview of the technology information portal and business management knowledge, while showing how they are likely to enhance productivity and accelerate innovation in the enterprise.

On appelle "portail d'entreprise" une plate-forme intranet donnant accès à des données de l'entreprise ainsi qu'à des ressources du système d'information regroupées au sein d'une interface unique.
Le portail d'entreprise est ainsi la porte d'entrée vers les données du système d'information de l'entreprise pour l'ensemble du personnel et éventuellement les partenaires.
L'enjeu du portail est de chercher à centrer l'utilisateur au sein du système d'information.
Ce article a pour principal objectif de dresser un panorama complet et équilibré des technologies de portail d'information d'entreprise et de gestion de la connaissance, tout en montrant en quoi celles-ci sont susceptibles de renforcer la productivité et d'accélérer l'innovation dans l'entreprise.
