Abstract EN

The aim of this research was to measure the organizational effectiveness of veterinary units through three dimensions (achieving goals, satisfaction with services provided, and organizational coordination) in Kafr el-Sheikh and Dakahlia governorates; to identify the relative important of these dimensions; and to identify the relationship of some independent studied variables with organizational effectiveness of veterinary units and their dimensions.

The sample involved 155 veterinary unites directors, representing 60 % of the total number of directors in the two studied governorates.

Data were collected using a questionnaire by personal interviews.

Furthermore, the statistical methods used in this study are descriptive analysis, simple correlation coefficients, and liner regression.

The results showed that more than half of the sample (62 %) confirmed that the level of its effectiveness is moderate, as well as the level of the three dimensions.

The dimensions are arranged as follows: achieving goals, satisfaction with services provided, organizational coordination according to relative importance.

The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the degree of organizational effectiveness of veterinary units and their dimensions and four independent variables (availability of administrative components, benefit from training, achievement degree, and the importance of organizational coordination).

Moreover, the results indicate that the independent variables combined explained about 45.6 %, 25.9 %, 27.9 % and 53.6 % of the variance in the organizational effectiveness of veterinary units, the unit’s ability to achieve its goals, the degree of satisfaction of the unit manager with the technical and administrative services, and the organizational coordination, respectively, based on the value of R2.
