The study aimed to identify the role of the application of quality standards of university education in promotion the quality of academic performance in Jordanian universities: a case study of Zarqa University.
To achieve this purpose has been to build and develop a questionnaire included seven criteria for the quality of university education, and the variable of academic performance, consisted of (45) items were then test the sincerity of the tool and its reliability, was applied to the study sample of (116) teaching staff, chosen at random of the study population (253) teaching staff using a stratified random sample.
The study findings a number of results, including: 1 - There is statistically significant relationship (positive correlation) at the level (a = 0.05), between each of the quality standards of university education and the quality of academic performance.
2- There are no statistically significant differences between the mean responses of the study sample about the degree of application of quality standards of education, which indicates that the homogeneity of the study sample responses about the degree of application of the standards from the point of view.
3- There are statistically significant differences at the level (a = 0.05), between the mean responses of the study sample about the application degree of quality standards of university education, attributed to the variable (years of experience in the university) and for the class (4-8) years.
4- There are no statistically significant differences between the mean responses of the study sample about the degree of application of quality standards of university education, attributed to the personal variables (job title, qualification, and academic rank).
5-There are no statistically significant differences between the mean responses of the study sample about the level of their evaluation of the quality of academic performance, attributed to the personal variables (job title, qualification, academic rank, and years of experience in the university)
