Abstract EN

Facing epidemics is not only limited to the medical effort, but also requires considerable efforts by the “police power” in a frame of the prevention protocols.

Since infectious diseases often spread through "human contact" that takes place within social networks, it is incumbent on the “police power” to employ the capabilities of the social network analysis (SNA) in rationalizing their measures.

This study seeks to address the problem of the added value of the SNA for the “police power” in order to prevent and combat the COVID-19, as one of the most widespread epidemics and attrition of prevention measures.

we concluded that SNA includes a proven importance in the public system response to COVID-19 that appeared in several applications, both in determining the level of control intervention or in helping to take appropriate preventive measures.

At the end we have outlined a set of conditions that must be met in order to optimize results for these applications.
