استراتيجيات مكافحة جائحة COVID-19 : دراسة مقارنة لأثر استراتيجيات التدخلات غير الدوائية المتبعة في إيطاليا و السويد

Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to study strategies against COVID-19، where the World Health Organization declared it a pandemic on March 11، 2020، so we need to apply pharmaceutical interventions (PHIs) that include vaccines and medical treatments، and non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) include mitigation and suppression، in every country and all over the world.

The COVID-19 crisis was classified as the third major global crisis in the 21st century.

We compared applied NPIs against COVID-19 in two European countries Italy (suppression strategy) and Sweden (mitigation strategy)، and we compared the impact of "NPIs" on daily cases and deaths of 100,000 population between March 15، 2020 to April 30، 2020، and we found significant statistical differences between this data recorded between Italy and Sweden (p-value ˂ 0.05)، in Italy we found that high daily cases were 11 per 100,000 population on March 21، 2020، and 8 per 100,000 population on April 24، 2020 in Sweden.

According to the data recorded as of April 30، 2020، the mortality rate was (0.046) in Italy، and (0.026) in Sweden، while CFR was 13.6% for Italy and 12.26% for Sweden.
