Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the political uses of social media sites and their contribution to the development of political awareness among youth in the popular movement in Algeria since 22 February 2019.

The importance of research is that it addresses the role of social media in contributing to the architecture of an audience with certain features, a new discourse and its political and social realities, and reflects its awareness and culture.

The study concluded that social media sites contributed to organizing popular movement through mobilization and mobilization, transferring its sites as a picture, sound and on-line through different pages and virtual groups, and also contributed to identifying political situations and reinforcing political participation through expressing opinions on all political issues raised.

In addition to the revival of the spirit of belonging and the values of citizenship, the youth of the movement have become more aware of his country's political, economic and social affairs.
