يعتبر موضوع السكان و التنمية من المواضيع التي نالت اهتمام العديد من المفكرين و الباحثين و صناع القرار و خاصة وأن دراسة هذا الموضوع تساهم في فهم العلاقة المتبادلة و المتشابكة بين الظواهر السكانية و التنموية و هذا من خلال تحديد و تحليل أثار المتغيرات السكانية على العملية التنموية في شتى المجالات وكل هذا يمكن المخططين و صناع القرار من اتخاذ قرارات مناسبة ووضع سياسات سكانية ملائمة تتماشى مع الأهداف التنموية.
من خلال هذا المقال نحاول التطرق إلى هذا الموضوع "السكان و التنمية" من خلال استعراض أهم المفاهيم و الأسس النظرية للعلاقة بين السكان و التنمية.

The issue of population and development is one of topics that has attracted the attention of many thinkers, researchers and decision makers, the study of this topic contributes to the understanding the interrelationship between population and development phenomena and this by identifying and analyzing the effects of population variables on the process of Development in various fields, And all of that enable planners and decision makers to make appropriate decisions and develop appropriate population policies aligned with development objectives.
Through this article, we try to address this topic by reviewing the most important concepts and theoretical foundations of the relationship between population and development.

Le thème de la population et du développement est l'un des sujets qui a retenu l'attention de nombreux intellectuels, chercheurs et décideurs, d'autant plus que l'étude de ce sujet contribue à comprendre la relation mutuelle et imbriquées entre les phénomènes de population et de développement et ce par l'identification et l'analyse des effets des variables démographiques sur le processus Développement dans divers domaines, qui permettent aux planificateurs et aux décideurs de prendre les décisions appropriées et d'élaborer des politiques démographiques appropriées en fonction des objectifs de développement.
À travers cet article, nous essayons d'aborder ce sujet en examinant les concepts les plus importants et les fondements théoriques de la relation entre la population et le développement.
