Abstract EN

This study deals with the features and purposes that characterize the Islamic penal system by highlighting the ways of preserving the five necessities.

The latter refers to rules that aim to preserve religion, life, mind, relationships, and money through estimated sanctions (retributions) and punishment.

The research begins with defining and describing the main characteristics of the Islamic punishment.

Secondly, the study defines the five necessities along with some examples that illustrate the role of retribution in preserving the Islamic five sacred necessities.
