للخوض في خضم النمو التطوري للذكاء يشار إلى أهمية دور الخبرة المهنية للاخصائي التي تبنى إلى أساس التدريب مع وجود القدرة و الممارسة و مناسبتها لطبيعة الفرد نفسه من خلال دراسة تاريخ الحالة الذي يساعد على الكشف عن تطور ذكاء معين في شخص معين و من هذا في توجيه الفرد للعمل و الوظيفة التي تناسبه و التي يمكن أن يبدع فيهاو ليتبنى الأخصائي العيادي المدرسي الممارس استراتيجية ذات جدوى في تعليم أي تلميذ فإنه من الضروري أن تتوافر شروط فتلاميذ ذوي صعوبات التعلم تجد عددا هائلا منهم تنقصهم مهارة اختيار طريقة التعلم المناسبة لهم و هؤلاء بحاجة إلى من يرشدهم و يسهل لهم التعلم و اختيار الطريقة المناسبة في التعلم و استخدامها هو فن في حد ذاته و مهارة يمكن التدريب عليها و مع تقدم العصر و تجدد الخبرات و العلوم أصبحت التكنولوجيا تأخذ حيزا رئيسيا في التأثير العقلي و النفسي و العلمي و العملي و الأخلاقي و في ضوء هذه المعايير فإن برامج التربية المعلمين أصبحت تعد معلمي المستقبل لاستخدام التكنولوجيا مع جميع أنواع المتعلمينو مع النمو المتجدد في تطوير و ابتكار أدوات عالية التكنولوجيا على مدار العقدين الماضيين فإن هناك تقدير متجدد للوسائل منخفضة التكنولوجيا و احتفال ملحوظ في الاجراءات لمساعدة التلاميذ للاحتياجات التكنولوجية فقد كان محور تركيز التكنولوجيا الحديثة على ابتكار أدوات تدعيم مهارات المعرفة القرائية و الكتابة لدى التلاميذ و استخدام التكنولوجيا لمساعدة الأفراد ذوي صعوبات التعلم كان مجالا هاما للبحث و التدريب و الممارسة في التربية الخاصة لسنوات عديدة من أجل تدعيم التعلم و التوظيف الحياتي للأفراد دوي الصعوبات و وضع القانون التعليمي للأفراد ذوي صعوبات التعلم
