Research in manuscripts is one of the most important areas that have attracted the attention of scholars and researchers.

Millions of manuscripts left behind by our advanced scholars, and most of them still and most of them are still lying in the coffers of manuscripts and libraries, needing someone to shake off the dust and revive it again.

It is not surprising that attention in Algeria has shifted towards interest in Arabic manuscripts, for indexing and investigation, as some researchers have taken special care of it, and this was evidenced by the emergence of the indexes of multiple manuscripts, some of which were published independently in a book, and some of them were an article published in a peer-reviewed journal.

The work of the researcher in this article is therefore to highlight the role Algeria played in the indexing of Arabic manuscripts, according to the information provided to him to control most of what was published in this field.
