Abstract EN

The goal of this research is to identify the effectiveness of using the mind maps in teaching mathematics for developing some of habits of mind for students at the second grade of preparatory.

For achieving this purpose, the research has applied a semi- empirical approach on a sample of (70) students (girls and boys) of the second grade of preparatory at Elmoshtaraka preparatory school at Elkharga city ,New valley governorate.

The researcher divided the study sample into two groups; an experimental group consists of (35) students have been taught under The mind maps strategy , and a control group consists of (35) students have been taught in a normal way.

The research tools are represented in Teacher's Guide , Student Worksheets , Habits of mind scale .

The tools have been pre , post and delay applied after verifying validity and constancy .

- making statistical analysis, the researcher has concluded to the following results:-  there was statistical significance differences in the indication level ( α ≤ 0.
