Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the degree of the Attitude toward self-learning and its relationship with perseverance for intermediate gifted female students in Albaha region and to know the differences in that degree according to the variable of the students’ grades.

The researcher used the correlative and descriptive method on the sample witch consists of (80) gifted female students from the Albaha region.

The tools of the study consisted of Questionnaires of Attitude toward self-learning and perseverance prepared by the researcher.

The results indicated that the degree of attitude toward selflearning among the gifted female students was generally high with a mean of (3.93).

The means of the paragraphs ranged from (3.74) to (4.01) with a high degree.

The cognitive dimension came in the first order with a mean of (4.01) with a high degree, the psychological dimension came in the second order with a mean of (3.97) also with a high degree, the social dimension came in the third order with a mean of (3.90) as well as a high degree, while the emotional dimension in the last order with a mean of (3.74) and also high.

The degree of perseverance among gifted female students was generally high with a mean of (3.86).

The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the total score of the attitude toward selfleaning among gifted female students as well as in the emotional and psychological dimensions favoring the first intermediate grade students.

While there were no significant differences in the degree of gifted students on the cognitive and social dimensions.

The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences in degree of perseverance among gifted female students due to the grade of students favoring first and second intermediate grades.

The results showed a positive and statistically significant correlation between the degree of self-learning and perseverance among gifted female students, the coefficient of correlation between the degree of self-learning and perseverance among gifted (.951**) was high and statistically significant.
