Abstract EN

This Resparch entitled: Using of the Modern Educational Technologies (assistive technology) by the disabled students at Sudanese universities (The International University of Africa as an example).

It aimed at exploring this important slice in our society and life in some Sudanese universities so as to know their academic reality, the aids and supports that can help them, and also to reveal their difficulties and needs which are facing them now.

The problem of this Research is represented in finding an important slice of students at Sudanese Universities, which is urgently in need of classification, identification and putting them in groups in order to provide them with suitable service and help according to their needs.

The Research included the disabled students of the international university of Africa and the Sudan University of Science and Technology.

The study was checked thoroughly and a comparison was done between the two groups in these universities.

The researcher used the descriptive approach because it`s suitable for this study.

The population of this study is the disabled students from the two universities, comprising (43) students, were chosen as a sample.

The tool of the research is the interview with the samples of the International University of Africa.

The most important results are: A few of the disabled students possess the modern educational technologies acquired by themselves.

These educational technologies helped them in improving their academic achievement.

There is a number of difficulties mainly in the possession and application of these technologies which could be overcome by organization, system and planning.

The most important recommendations are: It is very important to establish centers at the Sudanese Universities for the disabled students and a comprehensive center for all the Universities.

The charity organizations, corporations and firms have to give support and enough help to these centers.
