Abstract EN

The study aimed at revealing the availability degree of Digital Citizenship Standards in the content of the computer and information technology syllabus for the second grade of middle school.

In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the analytical descriptive method followed and a list of the appropriate digital citizenship standards was established in the Computer and Information Technology syllabus for the second grade of middle school, it was then transformed into a content analysis card, which included (52) sub-indicators distributed into nine main standards.

The findings of the study were presented a list of the appropriate digital citizenship standards to the content of the computer and information technology syllabus for the second grade of middle school, The average availability of Digital Citizenship Standards in the content of the computer and information technology syllabus was (11.1%), at very low rate, and was distributed in varying percentages on the standards of digital citizenship, which can be arranged in descending order as follows: The availability of the Digital Literacy Criterion (64.5%), the availability of the digital access standard (11.8%), the availability of the digital communication standard (5.9%), the availability of the Digital Ethics and Ethics (5.4%), the availability of the Digital Health and Safety Standard (2.2%), the availability of the digital commerce standard (1.6%), the availability of the standard of digital rights and responsibilities (1%).

Based on the above results, the study recommended a comprehensive review of the computer and information technology course for the second grade in order to include more digital integration criteria than the results of the study.
