This Study investigates the concept of deixes in the analysis of discourse through the creation of semantic duality in each deixis type, The study aims to understand deixes in the pragamtics level, and the extent of their difference in the linguistic level, as well as trying to determine the appropriate procedure in the analysis of each deixis type.It has concluded that the nature of the vagueness of deixes at the linguistic level requires us to understand their intended and unintended semantic potentials at the pragmatic level to determine the semantic violation of each deixis, and to reveal what helps clarify its use, and that deixes have a functional discourse value similar to other pragmatic concepts
