Abstract EN

The current study aimed at identifying the effect of teaching the fundamentals of the Political System in Islam Course on the level of motivation for learning among the students of Islamic Studies at QassimUniversity.

The study made use of the quasi-experimental method and the experimentation was delimited to one group.

The study utilized a scale for assessing the level of motivation taking into account its five dimensions (ambition level/ success attitudes/ work attitudes/ academic achievement attitudes/ level of cognitive motive).

The scale was administered before and after the experimentation to the study participants (totaling 72 students) who were enrolled to study the fundamentals of the political system in Islam (104) which belonged to the department of Islamic studies in QassimUniversity.

The results of the study revealed the effectiveness of teaching the fundamentals of the political system in Islam course in increasing the level of motivation for learning taking into account all its dimensions among the Islamic Studies students in QassimUniversity.
