The research aims to know the thinking skills included in the content of the mathematics course for the first grade of secondary school in light of the Marzano model.

The researcher used the descriptive approach and adopted the paragraph as a unit for analysis, and the results of the research showed that the mathematics course for the first grade secondary school included a number of thinking skills with varying percentages.

The skill (inference) obtained a high percentage of (48%), while some thinking skills were neglected as skills (setting goals, formulating questions, arranging, identifying main ideas, forecasting, and building standards) and others were almost neglected as skills (identifying errors summarizing, expanding, rebuilding).

The skills that were least neglected were skills (coding, retrieval, acting, identifying features and components, proof and verification).

The researcher recommended the necessity of re-balancing the ratios of including thinking skills in the course, as well as including thinking skills that have been neglected or that have received weak attention in it.
