Through this article, we want to address the concept of focus and its effectiveness by following its historical development from the very beginning, thanks to Gérard Genette, who has developed the most perfectionist of contemporary theories of narratology.

Then we try to follow the most important criticisms of the work of Genette, especially from the Dutch critic "Mieke Bal" and The compatriot of Genette "Pierre Vitoux", it is especially them who criticized and enriched the concept of fokalisation thus making it more applicable.

Based on its theoretical foundations, we sought to test the effectiveness of the concept by applying it to the comparative approach of Koranic and biblical narratives, especially the history of Adam and Eve.
